You and Your Life Equity
In her book Life Equity, Marsha Blackburn taught us that the lives we’ve lived have given us the skills to lead the lives we’ve dreamed of. She also taught us, though, that before we can realize the skills we’ve acquired we have to see our lives from a different perspective. Below you’ll find some tools that will help you assess your "life equity". What wisdom and abilities do you possess that can now be used to fashion the life of your dreams? Note: it is important that you read the book before you use these tools.
Strengths + Passions + Experience = Life Equity
- Identify your strengths.
- List your passions.
- Inventory your experience.
- Complete the equation.
- Tell your story...
Marsha taught us in Life Equity that we need to understand our story with new perspective in order to capture the gifts of skill and knowledge that have been given to us. Once you’ve read Life Equity, take a moment to tell us your story in the space provided below. After you’ve written this story, send it to us so that we can know who you are and perhaps use your life as an example for others. Be sure to save a copy of your story and keep it for yourself. You’ll want to refer to it again and again as you claim the gifts that your story has given you.
